Play as you read for the full Loki experience

Round 1 Variant 1 Chalk Timeline

This timeline see’s Brandon Beane stay pat on his draft choices and taking the Best Player Available at each position. While there were some interesting trades danced in front of Beane the front office felt it best to stay put and just grip it and rip it.

With the 25th pick in the NFL Draft the Buffalo Bills Select … Roger McCreary Cornerback Auburn

McCreary is an exceptional athlete with great ball skills, fluid hips, and the Football IQ to be a dominate force in the NFL. McCreary would be a seamless fit into the Buffalo Bills defense at the opposite corner position of Tre White or could anchor the D in his stead. RMC is an exceptional athlete on the Tigers defense who took a leap forward in his game by building on his elite cover skills by adding eye discipline and ball hawking into his repertoire. In coverage he is sticky in man coverage and can shut down one side of the field in zone coverage with his burst in short areas to break up pass plays. RMC would also immediately solve one of the issues plaguing the Bills defense this season before and after Tre’s injury which was their thinness at the Corner position. WIth RMC in the fold teams will have a tough choice to make on who to target because any sort of errant pass in his area RMC trying to take it to the house.

With the 57th pick in NFL Draft the Buffalo Bills select Sean Rhyan guard UCLA

Rhyan played tackle for the Bruins but more favorably projects to the interior of the Offensive Line in the NFL. Rhyan plays with a nasty edge where he looks to finish opposing players using his speed, athleticism, and agility to work combination blocks and get to the second level. Rhyan is silky in his movement moving effortlessly and would project well into the pin and pull system the Bills employee in their run game. Really the only issue to his game is that he has shorter than Ideal arms which gave him some trouble on the perimeter but won’t be an issue on the interior. Rhyan will be an immediate upgrade over Daryl Williams and would be a great complimentary piece next to Spencer Brown along the right side of the Offensive Line.

With the 89th pick in the NFL draft the Buffalo Bills select Isaiah Likely Tight End Coastal Carolina

Likely is everything you look for in a modern Tight End: Speed, yes sir he’s got some gas in those shoes, Size, big frame and big hands, route running, Likely is slicker than a bildo skipping across the turf at Highmark Stadium. All jokes aside Likely would immediately come in and challenge Dawson Knox and give Josh Allen another big body safety blanket. Likely excels working in space and creating distance where he can go up and get the ball. Likely can line up inline or out wide to create a size mismatch in the secondary. Likely is a dog in the run game and likes to take his blocking assignments to the edge of the whistle, his athleticism and ability lends to him to be able to line up as a traditional on the line TE or being able to move around the box like an H-back. Likely being a Massachusetts Northeast native eliminates any fear that weather will effect his game.

Be on the lookout for other variants popping up in the coming days…
